Some thoughts...

Okay I am going to be honest, today i woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I woke up late, my printer decided not to work this morning so I was unable to print a VERY important document, I arrived to work late, I was extremely tired, and then on top of it I was dreading my service hours! I am taking a service learning course for one of my education classes and we are required to do 30 hours of service. I picked an organization i knew very little about, but it sounded interesting to me. I usually love doing stuff like this, but today just was not working out for me. BUT I did go.. and wow, my day turned around as soon as i saw these children!

The organization is called Hser Ner Moo Community Center. A young girl about two years ago was taken outside of her apartment and murdered. This center is for refuge children from this same apartment complex, they come to the center to eat dinner, do homework, and activities. These people truly are amazing, the things they have done for these children are just so great. I loved every moment of it and every child i was able to meet and help. I am so thankful for this class now and for these hours I am able to have to serve these children. It really made me take a step back and realize what I am here for and what this life is about. I am truly thankful for these eye opening experiences!
