Well, its true, I am now TWENTY-TWO!
How weird is that?
Really though, it seems like just yesterday I was running around playing boys chase girls and swinging from monkey bars.
Time sure does fly by!!
I am now a twenty-two year old wife/worker/student/wanna-be business owner
I definitely had some fun times during my Twenty-first year :)
Lets take a look:
-I finished another year of school
-I went to California, twice
-I laughed
-I moved into an apartment with my hubby
-I stayed in touch with friends
-I celebrated my one year anniversary with my love
-I went to Mexico
-I cried
-I was accepted into the Special Education Severe program at the U
-I volunteered at a refuge center and it absolutely changed me for the better
-I stayed working at my favorite job
-I danced
-I started Elsie Made
-I had another unforgettable summer
-I loved
-I went to Vegas
-I made memories with our amazing family
& much more that I just can't think or during one sit down!
But to sum my year up I will just say that it was an unforgettable one!
I love birthdays, even when they're not mine. I believe that everyone should be completely spoiled rotten on their day because it's the ONE day that is dedicated to them, so they deserve it!!
Ryan and I started a little tradition of doing a "5 day birthday countdown"! Everyday the birthday girl/boy gets a little something that leads them up to their big day!
Since my birthday is May 13th Ryan started my countdown on the 9th.
Day 5/May 9th:
I came home after shopping with my friend Alisha
and found this on the table...
It was an adorable shirt from one of my favorite places Bohme, a card, some candy, and my cute husband cooking dinner! It was so thoughtful and sweet! Dinner was delicious, I think I will leave the cooking up to Ryan from now on!
Day 4/May 10th:
Ryan came home from work and told me to get ready to go! We went to one of my favorite restaurants that I had been craving for a while, California Pizza Kitchen! We don't usually eat out and we rarely ever go out on week nights so it was a lot of fun! (Yeah Ryan was concentrating on the road when I snapped this shot)
Day 3/May 11th:
Wednesday we decided to get out of the house and spend time together. With school and work Ryan and I rarely have time to just be together during the week! Luckily this last week was our "one week of summer" so we were able to spend lots of time together! Day 3 I was given my favorite candy and some fun time with my #1 man :)
Day 2/May 12th:
This day was dedicated to my best friends, we call ourselves the FIVE because there are five of us, yes we know we are VERY original! haha.
Nicole Meyer
Victoria Comish
Gabrielle Holton
Megen McCarty
These four girls have been my best friends for a loooooooong time. We always do a birthday dinner for eachother and they are always so much fun!
We went to Zupas, my favorite soup/salad/& sandwich joint!
We had tons of fun laughing, talking about past times, and eating fondue!
The thing about us is no matter how much time goes by without seeing or talking to eachother we always seem to go straight back to where we left off when we are together. No time or space can break us up. I love these girls so much!
Day 5/May 13th:
MY BIRTHDAY!!
Did I already mention how much I love my birthday? If not, I LOVE IT!
I couldn't even sleep in because I was so excited!
Here's us on my birthday morning!
Ryan made me breakfast and then before we parted for work Ryan gave me strict orders for the event that would follow after work:
-Wear clothes that can get stinky or dirty
-Don't do your hair
-And wear closed toe shoes...
Uhm what were we about to do??
At work I had some cute visitors:
My buddy boy came to visit with my sister and her friend! Buddy had balloons tied to him, he was so stinkin' cute! I love this pup!
I love my job for many reasons, one being that on your birthday you get to have a party! Just like you did when you were in school yourself!
My wonderful boss found this adorable sponge bob cake! Perfect for our class :)
We had tons of fun watching little mermaid (my favorite disney movie), cooking a cup of dirt (my favorite cooking treat), eating cake, ice cream, and sherbert and sprite (my favorite summer treat)! My boss then topped it off by bringing in....
NEVER SAY NEVER (the Justin Bieber movie) Oh my co-workers know me so well.. Im a bieber-fied girl.
It was such a fun day at work!
After work I met up with these beautiful ladies for some lunch...
My Mama!
My sisters!
I always love spending time with these three gals! I sure do love them!
After lunch I hurried home to change into those grungy type clothes Ryan had told me to wear earlier. As soon as he got home we zoomed off to Layton where we soon found ourselves at...
I was soooo nervous! I hate doing things that make me look stupid, but I was really excited to try it out! My husband loves to get me out of my comfort zone and knows I am up for just about anything and this was a ton of fun!! So go try it if you haven't!
Then we were off to enjoy some dinner outside and listen to some live music...
This boy sure does know how to put on an amazing birthday :)
My love surprised me with...
Never say never DVD & CD, yeah that's right... Don't judge me for loving him! hahaha.
We stayed up and watched the DVD & lets just say my husband is officially Bieber-fied...
Don't tell him I said that.. he'll correct me by saying
"No I just like his music!" But isn't it the same thing?
:)
The next day we went to dinner with our good friends Dan & Alisha
We went to red ginger for some sushi that was much needed. We love our sushi!
The best part of this night was when we went to the theatre to buy our tickets to Thor we saw that they had a photobooth! Let me back up a minute and explain why we were so excited. On my 20th birthday (my first while dating Ryan) we went to a photobooth and took pictures! We decided to make this a tradition for every birthday, but on Friday when we went to go to the Kmart that had the booth it was gone! I spent most of Saturday morning calling around places to track one down!! We were so sad because we couldn't find one anywhere!
SOOOO that is why we were so excited about a silly booth!
Year twenty-one was great, but I have a feeling that year twenty-two will be EVEN BETTER!
I am so thankful for amazing people that surround me and were able to spend my birthday with me!
I love you all so much & I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world because of you!
Thank you thank you.
XO
