Our first Fourth in Oakley!

I hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July weekend!
We know that we sure did!

On Saturday morning we (my mom, two sisters, my hubby, my pup and myself) started our trip to Oakley, Idaho...
We headed up there to spend one last weekend as a family in the Oakley home before my Nana's furniture and other items were moved out.
We LOVE Oakley & we LOVE the home up there.. we just can't ever get enough.

While in Oakley:

We went to the local pool-
Believe it or not, this was my first official pool day of the summer season (how sad is that??)
We had a blast in that tiny pool playing all of our old swimming games:
Hand stands
Titanic
Question dunking
Tea party
Racing
etc.
It was fun to act like little kids all over again. Oakley definitely brings out that side in us!

We did yard work-
We really wanted the yard to look beautiful for my Nana's memorial service tha will be taking place on the 16th.

We made festive strawberries-
& they were delicious!

We saw beautiful horses-
& wished we could take them riding...

We roamed the streets-
many times.

We sat and watched the sunset-
there really is nothing like a country sunset.

We had a BBQ-

We roasted mallows-

We enjoyed the breeze while reading a book-

& we set off fireworks-

but the best times were spent in this precious home-
The feeling in this home is amazing.
I was worried about going there without my Nana, but I felt as if she had never left.
I love this home.
I love this tiny town.
& Im so grateful to have made so many memories there!
