Weekly Updates

One of my favorite things to do while I was pregnant was to take weekly pictures with my updated chalkboard. I would put things that we were going through that week and milestones that baby Karsten was reaching. It was fun to see how my belly was growing each week and now it's nice to be able to look back at the pictures and remember all the little details.

I remember each week and how I felt. The truth is, I absolutely loved being pregnant. I loved having my little buddy with me. I loved each new experience and every new feeling.  I loved the fact that I never got sick. I loved researching and planning every little detail. I loved buying maternity clothes. I loved watching Ryan's face as he felt each kick. I loved singing songs and reading books to our growing baby every night. I loved falling asleep to my little guy kicking around. I loved watching my belly grow. And I won't lie, I loved being pampered by my husband. Everyday was something new and it was exciting.
Here was our very last picture taken on our week 26 mark (5 days before Karsten arrived)
Now that our boy is here, we thought it would be fun to keep up with the weekly updates. This week we celebrated Karsten turning 2 weeks old and turning 29 weeks (due to his gestational age)! We found a chalkboard that is much more his size to use.
He is doing well and is showing us more and more of his big personality! Here is what we have learned about our sweet boy so far.

Loves:
*Laying on his back when Daddy holds him
*Laying on his side when Mommy holds him
*Holding Mommy's hand when he gets his diaper changed
*Lullabies
*Having his arms stretched out
*Having one foot tucked and one foot hanging out
*A full tummy

Doesn't love:
*Poopy diapers (he screams as soon as that diaper gets dirty)
*Being positioned, he likes to position himself
*Strange noises
*Not having his hands close to his face

He is getting more and more feisty every day! We love watching his big personality grow.
We love you Karsten James Scott!
