Happy Valentine's Day from our very favorite Valentine!
We had the very best love weekend where we played, snuggled, dressed up and took pictures in all things red and pink!
Valentine's day has always been our favorite holiday. It has been my very favorite since the second grade. My Mom always made it a special day for us and it's something that I want to be able to do for Karsten. She would write us love letters and give us cute treats. I loved all the pink and red in the stores and being able to spread love to my friends and family. Another reason I love Valentine's day is because Ryan and I had our first date on Valentines day in 2009. I think it's safe to say that this year topped the last 6 Valentine's days because we had our sweet boy to share our day with.
We have found a whole new love with our sweetheart and that is definitely something that needs to be celebrated.
I am the luckiest lady to have had two very handsome Valentines to celebrate with.
In 2009 Ryan and I went bowling, we made a heart shaped pizza and we sat and we awkwardly watched "Simply Irresistable". That night as I drove home I knew that he was special to me. I knew that I wanted to date him more and I hoped that it would turn in to spending more Valentine's days together. Luckily, after that night we started officially dating and we have now celebrated seven Valentine's days together!
We have started many Valentine's day traditions since then. We do a 14 day countdown where we spoil each other with gifts, love letters and mushy gushy acts of love. We watch romantic movies every day of our countdown and we always try to watch ones that we haven't seen before. Our last tradition is my very favorite. We take all of our favorite pictures together and make a huge heart on our wall where we sit and eat our homemade heart shaped pizza.
We love our love month traditions and we are sad to see the month end.
We love celebrating love because we have so much love to be thankful for.
