We finally got around to sending out Karsten's birth/welcome home announcement. We waited to do them for a few reasons. One being, we were way too busy to even think about them while Karsten was in the NICU and two, we wanted to celebrate him coming home and the progress he made during those first few months.
He gained 2 lbs 5 oz and grew 3 inches while he was in the hospital. It still amazes me how much he changed every single day. It's hard to explain the emotions we felt while watching our son grow outside of utero. It's hard to believe that he was born without even being able to open his eyes. Now I can't even imagine not being able to see those big brown curious eyes.
We are so thankful to have our beautiful boy home with us. We can't begin to express the excitement we had to finally bring him home.
Every day with him has been a dream come true.
