Bentley Boo

September 2013

When we first moved down south we noticed something had changed with Elsie Lou. She wasn't eating as often, she wasn't sitting with us as much, and she always seemed to want to be on her own in the corner. Conradi took her to the vet and he told us that she may be going through depression. She had grown up with her two sisters and this was the first time she was without them and in a new home that wasn't familiar to her.
So yes, depression definitely could have been an option.
He told us one cure that worked for his dogs. He told us we could get another dog to keep her company. That was not an option for me. I could not imagine having another dog to take care of. But somehow Conradi talked me into it. We looked at different dogs, and although they were all adorable, we just didn't click.
Until... we met Bentley. We had never thought about adopting a border-aussie, but as soon as we saw him we knew he belonged with us.
Elsie Lou really hated him at first. There were a few times that she had his head in her mouth. She really did not want him in her house with her people.
Luckily, a few weeks went by and they became best friends.
Elsie Lou is happy again and Bentley Boo is the one to thank.
