Happy Thanksgiving!! Karsten had a wonderful first thanksgiving. His Oma & Opa, Nana & Auntie came to celebrate with us. It was a perfect and relaxing day!
There were days at the beginning where we wouldn't have imagined being home for Thanksgiving, but we were. Karsten is strong and with his determination we were able to make it home. He amazes everyone around him!
I'm so thankful this Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for my husband for always being by my side throughout this whole journey. I'm thankful for Karsten and for his safe arrival, his strength and his health. I'm thankful for family who would drop anything to be with us when needed. I'm thankful for friends and their countless prayers and meals they provided. I'm thankful for the NICU team and for the love they showed to our family every day. They truly made us feel like family and they loved our boy and took such great care of him. I'm thankful for a loving and watchful Heavenly Father & Savior Jesus Christ for always being the light in our lives and for always watching out for us.
I'm so thankful and I have so much to be thankful for, but he will always top the chart.
I love you sweet boy. I'm forever thankful you are here and that I get to be your Mommy.
